Our journey began in September 2006 when we first visited the Jardin Escondido property &#8211; approximately 10 hectares (24 acres) in size located in San Antonio de las Minas, Valle de Guadalupe near Ensenada.  At the time Baja California was in the middle of a drought, so the represas (reservoirs) were empty.
